September 29 & 30 we arrive on 28 (reserved 10 rooms 28 & 29, and we reserved a 24x40/960 Sqft. - a partitioned conference room for 29th & 30th). They can accommodate up to 500 event attendees or partition off 8 business meeting rooms. Our Conference Room amenities: four 2x8 tables and one 2x6 table w/28 chairs & white lining table clothes. Hotel is located in the foot hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Southern Virginia, close to Liberty Fair Mall, Martinsville-Henry County Visitor Center, and Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Center and Museum which is something our wives may visit. We got it all set up without having to sign a rental guarantee, food & beverage, or conference room agreement. 3/22/2021  Made new arrangement with General Manager, Amanda Reeves for September 9-11 with extra large conference room Friday & Saturday 10th & 11th for $25.00 include tax = $26.33 per day, Amanda gave us discount because of Covid-19 and no Breakfast and Lunch, only Continual Breakfast. Block of 15 Room at Group rate of $64.95 + tax = $69.69 for king or double, under "Checker Tournament" 276-647-3721  Amanda Reeves cancelled our Tournament because new owner would not honor our $70 room rate since they sold out full occupancy for a Blue-ridge Rock Festival that weekend at $159 and that rate would continue for the rest of the year.  I did not find this out until August 25, and Reeves would not return my phone calls. I have the VIP Choice Privileges card and I called Choice Hotels Corporate Office, which said they would have General Manager of Group Sales/Meeting/Conference call me, but they never did. I postponed tournament to November 12 & 13 and move venue to Quality Inn Archdale, NC formally Comfort Inn.  I have rescheduled our tournament for November 12 and 13 at "Quality Inn High Point - Archdale" in Archdale, NC  10123 N. Main St, We have used this hotel before in 2017,18, & 19 for our NC State Open. Formally "Comfort Inn - Archdale"  Anita priced our double beds at $79 + tax/fees = $88.   We have a conference room for Friday & Saturday for $70 a day + tax (Total: $157). I reserved a block of rooms under NC Checkers.  I plan to get out a postcard, post the postponement on ACF forum, facebook, email checker player group list, and phone the regular players who attend this tournament about the postponement.

2/27/2023  Made arrangement for the 2023 NC Open with General Manager, Laurie Stafford at QUALITY INN High Point - Archdale for May 18 -20 with conference room Friday & Saturday 19th & 20th for 72.80 per day, or  $145.60 Total.
